HMSHost Celebrates the Grand Opening of Beaudevin; Introduces the “Beauty of Wine” to Charlotte Douglas International Airport
Beaudevin brings travelers sophisticated wines and relaxing European-style ambiance
CHARLOTTE, NC—Global airport restaurateur HMSHost celebrated today the grand opening of its popular wine bar, Beaudevin, at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Located in the Main Terminal Atrium, Beaudevin, which loosely translates into “the beauty of wine,” welcomes travelers with more than 30 varieties of red, white and sparkling wines, featured in a setting that places guests right in the heart of Europe. Amongst the hustle and bustle, travelers find a relaxing refuge, where they can also dine on elegant small plates of Melon & Prosciutto, Charcuterie and Feta Meze, and tartines including such mouth-watering culinary delights as Capicola & Mozzarella and Scottish Smoked Salmon.
“We are very pleased to bring Beaudevin to our customers here in Charlotte,” said Jerry Orr, Director of Aviation, Charlotte Douglas International Airport. “This is an exciting addition to the wide selection of restaurants HMSHost has brought to our airport.”
Beaudevin was named Best Wine Bar at the Moodie Food & Beverage Awards in 2011.
“We created Beaudevin as a place where travelers can experience fine wine and delicious cuisine while still feeling relaxed, in an informal, European-inspired atmosphere,” said Stephen Douglas, Vice President, Business Development HMSHost. “Reminiscent of a château cellar, Beaudevin puts beauty back into traveling. We are very excited to partner with CLT to make the Charlotte traveler’s day better.”
HMSHost employs more than 900 associates in nearly 40 restaurants at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Beaudevin joins several other new restaurants at CLT, including Ciao Gourmet Market, Hissho Sushi, Pinkberry, and Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar.
