HMSHost and "The Iceman" score big in San Antonio
The Alamo, the River Walk, and The Iceman - all part of the rich history and heritage that defines San Antonio.
HMSHost teamed up with George "The Iceman" Gervin to create Gervin's for San Antonio International Airport. The restaurant was designed to build on the popularity of sports-themed restaurants and features memorabilia from The Iceman's personal collection. Chelsea's Sandwiches of Texas, Inc., a valued DBE partner, operates the restaurant.
Gervin's patrons enjoy food and beverages designed and named to bring back their favorite Iceman moments - "Base Line" nachos, "In-The-Paint" Smoked Turkey Caesar Salad, and the "Nothing But Net" club sandwich.
Mr. Gervin, a 12-time NBA all-star and Hall of Famer, remains a vibrant member of the San Antonio community. His non-profit Youth Center has given thousands of disadvantaged young people a chance to succeed. HMSHost is proud to be working with him.
