Paul Mamalian
Paul Mamalian is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for HMSHost Corporation, a world leader in creating dining for travel venues. HMSHost operates locations all over North America, and is part of Dufry Group, the leading travel experience player worldwide that uniquely combines retail, food & beverage and digital.
Paul joined HMSHost in April 2010 after serving as Senior Vice President & General Counsel of Apptis, Inc., of Chantilly, Virginia, which provides services to US Federal government agencies, including the FAA and TSA. Previously, Paul was General Counsel of Choice Hotels International, Inc., of Silver Spring, Maryland, franchisor of 10 hotel brands such as Comfort Inn and Quality Inn, and over 6,000 hotels worldwide. At Choice, Paul managed all corporate legal functions including securities, franchising, contracts, litigation, compliance, acquisitions, and intellectual property. Paul also practiced at the law firms of Reed Smith and Pillsbury Winthrop, in both cases in their Restaurant and Hospitality groups.
Paul graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in International Affairs and earned his J.D. from the George Washington University National Law Center. Paul is conversant in French, Armenian and Arabic.
