HMSHost Appoints Stephanie Havard Executive Vice President of Restaurant Development, and Derryl Benton Executive Vice President of Business Development
BETHESDA, MD—Global restaurateur HMSHost is proud to announce that Stephanie Havard has been appointed Executive Vice President of Restaurant Development, overseeing strategic investment, concept development and design & construction; and Derryl Benton has been appointed Executive Vice President of Business Development, overseeing the winning and extending of industry contracts. Both roles will report to the CEO.

Derryl is also an industry veteran, with 25 years of insight and experience, and his relationship building skills, and reputation for developing creative solutions for clients will be considerable assets as we move forward.”
Stephanie has held various financial roles during her significant tenure at HMSHost. As a senior member of the Development Team, most recently as Vice President of Business Development Finance, Stephanie has been a critical part of the company’s success in winning and extending contracts. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA in Finance and Investments from George Washington University.
Derryl joined HMSHost after holding leading business development roles in the industry, most recently with Hudson Group, where he was responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in North America; and prior to that with the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, where he oversaw a $500 million concessions program and administered small business procurement policies. Derryl received his education from Lake-Sumter State College and the University of Central Florida.
