EDMONTON, AB – Travellers at Edmonton International Airport now have more access to their daily brew, with the opening of the remodeled 24-hour pre-security Tim Hortons location. Global restaurateur HMSHost, Tim Hortons, and the airport celebrated yesterday with a grand opening ribbon cutting and reception.

“We are thrilled to bring a fresh look to this location in Edmonton and excited for our guests to experience the new Tim Hortons look,” said Tim Hortons Manager of Business Development Christine Andrade. “New and renovated Tim Hortons restaurants across the chain this year will incorporate the company’s new interior and exterior look and design which was introduced earlier last year. With the grand re-opening of this popular Edmonton International Airport location, guests can expect comfortable booth seating, warm pendant lighting, and interior colour scheme, new wooden bakery displays, and communal table.”

Edmonton International Airport’s two Tim Hortons locations welcome travellers with its popular premium coffee and full menu of handcrafted sandwiches and breakfast items, including Tim Hortons’ trademark donuts. The inviting dining area in this modernized arrivals level location offers travellers and airport visitors a place to relax before or after a flight, or when waiting for arriving passengers. Travellers on the go can also easily grab their favourite drink and snack.

“With this major remodel of the Edmonton International Airport arrivals location, Tim Hortons will continue to woo travellers as well as airport and airline employees with their fresh brewed, fresh-baked style,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Kent Vanden Oever. “We are excited to partner with Tim Hortons once again at Edmonton International Airport to continue offering great dining options to travellers, employees, and airport visitors.”

“Whether you’re a passenger setting off on a business trip or a vacation, an airport worker at the start of a busy day, or a family eagerly awaiting a loved one, at our airport, Tim Hortons is here to welcome you home. Tim Hortons is a Canadian icon, and we’re delighted to see it reopen at our airport, even bigger and better than ever,” said Tom Ruth, President and CEO, Edmonton International Airport.

The chain’s biggest draw remains its legendary Tim Hortons coffee. It’s a premium blend that has all of the enticing aromas and complex flavors that make a simple cup of coffee an enduring favourite among people of all ages and backgrounds. To accompany its signature premium coffee are Tim Hortons’ famous Timbits®, bite-sized donut holes, as well as other signature donuts – the Apple Fritter and the Dutchie.
