Pret A Manger Greets Road Travelers with Opening at Delaware Welcome Center
Pret partners with HMSHost to open their first shop along a major U.S Interstate
NEWARK, Del. (August 2, 2018) – Summer road travelers along the busy Interstate 95 Northeast corridor can now enjoy Pret A Manger’s (“Pret”) menu of freshly prepared food and organic coffee at the Delaware Welcome Center. This is Pret’s first shop along a major U.S. Interstate and the new shop is in partnership with HMSHost.
Customers can enjoy Pret’s classic menu of freshly prepared food, including sandwiches, salads, wraps and hot items, such as grilled cheeses and soups, as well as a variety of beverage choices from juice to organic coffee. The food is made fresh on-site every day and signature items include the Balsamic Chicken & Avocado Sandwich, Pret’s Famous Ham & Cheese Baguette, Pesto Chicken Salad and Moroccan Lentil Soup.
Jo Brett, Pret’s U.S President, commented, “Our menu of freshly prepared food and organic coffees are perfect for those on the go, and we will be serving fresh breakfast, lunch and evening options from the kitchen of our new shop alongside sweet treats, juices and hot drinks. All of Pret’s items are freshly prepared on-site in the Delaware Welcome Center shop kitchen throughout the day. As part of Pret’s commitment to alleviating the pressures of homelessness, this new shop will donate any unsold food to local charity Second Harvest. Pret is committed to supporting food rescue organizations and has donated over 5 million meals to those in need since the first U.S. shop opened in New York City in 2000.
