HMSHost partnered with award-winning chef and restaurateur Michael Voltaggio to open the Los Angeles International Airport outpost of ink.sack, the famed chef’s highly lauded West Hollywood sandwich shop. ink.sack is known for crafting complex and creative food, made with top-notch ingredients, and pricing it affordably. Black paper sacks with guests’ names scrawled in silver ink and containing delicious artisanal sandwiches have become a common sight in the hands of hungry travelers throughout the new Tom Bradley International Terminal.
ink.sack’s most beloved sandwiches that have built a strong following on the street are available at the airport, including Cold Fried Chicken topped with house-made ranch cheese, Banh Mi, and The José Andrés, aka, “the Spanish Godfather” made with spicy chorizo.
Early morning travelers can start their days with options such as the gravlax, piled with smoked salmon and everything bagel spread, or the tortilla española, topped with a fried egg, manchego, and caramelized onions.
Even the side items or “snacks” are infused with creativity. From the Maryland Crab Chips to the Mexican Chocolate Chip Cookies, these snacks pair nicely with any of Voltaggio’s signature sandwiches.
