Well, head to the airport to savor HMSHost’s October Airport Restaurant Month, where travelers can eat their way to a one-of-a-kind New York City trip and dinner at a James Beard award-winning restaurant.
At more than 60 restaurants across North American airports, travelers can enjoy this elevated dining experience at a great value. Airport Restaurant Month features a tasting menu reflective of the popular street-side restaurant week concept, yet tailored exclusively for travelers’ needs.
With the HMSHost Airport Restaurant Month Passport, travelers collect stamps for each Airport Restaurant Month dish purchased for a chance to win. To enter the passport contest, travelers can request an Airport Restaurant Month Passport at participating HMSHost restaurants. Travelers then collect four stamps, snap a photo of the completed passport, and post the image to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #airportrestaurantmonth and tag @HMSHost. HMSHost’s culinary team created seasonal fall inspired menus designed specifically with a traveler’s need for speed of service and overall value in mind. As with city restaurant week’s, airport travelers can select from three appetizers and a variety of entrees. There is something for every traveler appetite – from hearty dishes to lighter options.
While menus vary by restaurant, a sample of some of the core Airport Restaurant Month dishes include:
• Orecchiette Pasta featuring sautéed super-food greens, parmesan, and buttered herb breadcrumbs
• Shrimp Scampi Flatbread with garlic shrimp, grape tomatoes, mozzarella, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes
• Harissa Burger topped with arugula, pickled red onions, harissa aioli, provolone cheese, and crispy smoked bacon
• Crispy Chicken Sandwich with crunchy Asian slaw, gochujang BBQ sauce, and pickle chips
Each of the above main courses are served with a choice of an appetizer including: an Autumn Salad of mixed greens, bleu cheese, toasted walnuts, shredded carrots, and balsamic vinaigrette; Sweet Potato Fries with a sweet & spicy honey mustard dipping sauce; and Apple Tartine with toasted sourdough, hummus, shaved apples, olive oil, and sage. As a sweet treat, travelers will receive a complimentary Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt Bar to enjoy after their meal or to-go for their flight.
