Eat Well. Travel Further. Brings Health-Forward Options to Travelers

HMSHost adds more choices such as lifestyle diet bento boxes, health-forward snacks and beverages

With the height of summer travel upon us, many try and stay true to their dining regimens and eat well even while on trips. Global restaurateur HMSHost’s Eat Well. Travel Further. is here to help. Aligning with the latest health food trends, Eat Well. Travel Further. brings travelers an expanded variety of health-forward culinary offerings to more than a dozen travel venues across the country, including airports and turnpike service plazas.

“Travelers don’t have to sacrifice their mindful dining choices. Whether they follow a plant-based or protein-rich diet, our Eat Well. Travel Further. offerings are themed around current lifestyle eating habits to give health-conscious travelers new ways to fuel their journeys,” said HMSHost Vice President of Marketing & Communications Atousa Ghoreichi. “We are advancing our commitment to the wellness culinary ethos, appealing to the growing need for more, easily accessible health-forward options in travel venues.”

Eat Well. Travel Further. features new food and beverages based off of popular wellness trends and are not something you would expect to find in an airport, such as:

  • Organic probiotic beverages
  • Wholesome snacks including handcrafted kale chips, roasted chickpeas, and organic dried fruit
  • Bento boxes themed around current lifestyle eating habits like a Vegan Lunch Box, Paleo Snack Box, and Protein Lunch Box, among others

Like all the Eat Well. Travel Further. offerings, the all-natural, preservative-free bento boxes are less than 500 calories each per serving. Some of the other new healthful offerings also include fresh fruit cups, hummus with veggie sticks, and a variety of beverages from coconut water to tea. HMSHost’s new offerings are packaged perfectly to take on the plane, especially for those who don’t have the time to pack something before leaving for the airport, yet still want to eat well on the go.

“Traveling doesn’t have to put a dent in healthy eating habits. Companies like HMSHost are innovating airport food with well-balanced offerings they call Eat Well. Travel Further. that align with some of the latest health-food trends to provide energy and nourishment during your travels,” said Dr. Zelana Montminy, renowned wellness architect and author of 21 Days to Resilience.

All Eat Well. Travel Further. offerings meet the HMSHost “Our Promise” to its guests:

  • 500 calories or less per serving – to energize you with delicious nutrient-dense foods without excess calories to slow you down
  • No artificial colors/flavors/sweeteners – to support your quest to eat “cleaner” by avoiding FD&C colors, artificial flavors and artificial sweeteners
  • No hydrogenated fats or high fructose corn syrup – to fuel your journey to a healthier lifestyle with more wholesome ingredients

Eat Well. Travel Further. was created to highlight HMSHost’s commitment to continuously offer options that better align with the health-conscious traveler by bringing in new and healthful ingredients, products and flavors to fuel their journey. HMSHost initially piloted the offerings at select airports. Given the growing popularity and demand, HMSHost officially launched Eat Well. Travel Further. at more than a dozen travel venues and will continue to expand with new offerings and new locations.
