Tosin Kasali Elected to Airport Minority Advisory Council Board

BETHESDA, Md. (July 20, 2020) – HMSHost Director of Business Development Tosin Kasali was elected to the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Board of Directors as At-large Director.

As one of the leading trade associations for North American airports, the AMAC board’s mission is to advance the full participation of minorities and women in employment and contracting opportunities throughout the aviation and aerospace industries. In this leadership role, Kasali joins thought leaders from across the airport and aviation communities to help create economic equity, access and wealth for minorities and women.

“I am extremely proud that Tosin has agreed to serve on AMAC’s board. He brings years of management and leadership experience and savvy which are much-needed during these challenging times for the organization and its membership,” said AMAC Board Chair Ricky D. Smith. “Tosin is one of the true rising stars in the airport industry and represents the youth movement that is positioning the organization to be an industry standard-bearer for years to come. I’m looking forward to working closely with him on efforts to improve service to AMAC’s membership.”

AMAC represents thousands of members that include airport operators, government officials, corporations, and M/W/DBE entrepreneurs. Kasali will serve a two-year term and join a dedicated group of professionals who volunteer their time to support AMAC’s fundraising, corporate development, and member programming efforts.

“HMSHost is proud of its longstanding support of AMAC to cultivate a culture of equity in aviation. It’s a privilege to work with them and dedicate our time to further their efforts,” said HMSHost Vice President of Strategic Alliances Ron Gomes.

“I am honored to provide leadership and to work alongside my peers on this esteemed board,” said HMSHost Director of Business Development and AMAC At-large Director Tosin Kasali. “I look forward to making an impact on minority participation in airports and helping to carry out the mission of AMAC. This is a tough time for everyone and the importance of inclusion and representation is more important than ever.”
