HMSHost Appoints Kent Vanden Oever Vice President Of Business Development

BETHESDA, MD — Global restaurateur HMSHost announced today the appointment of airport industry expert Kent Vanden Oever as Vice President of Business Development, responsible for developing and overseeing key client relationships.

Vanden Oever joins HMSHost after holding a leading consulting role at AirProjects, Inc. During his career, he has worked with dozens of airports throughout North America, South America, the Caribbean, and Asia, providing development, financial, and economic consulting services. He has consulted on airport concessions for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Salt Lake City International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Airport, San Diego International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, among several others.

Before joining AirProjects in 2008, Vanden Oever was Manager of Airport Business Services for HNTB Corporation, where he was responsible for directing the firm’s financial, concessions, and economic practices. Over his nine years at HNTB, he expanded the firm’s services from the Mid-Atlantic region to across the nation. For more than ten years prior to his role at AirProjects, he was a concessions and facility planning project manager for PB Aviation.

Vanden Oever is a frequent contributor to industry publications and has been a featured speaker at nearly a dozen industry conferences. Vanden Oever holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University in Oxford, OH and an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Cincinnati.
