HMSHost Named Food & Beverage Concessionaire for Concourse B Expansion at Palm Beach International Airport
Palm Beach County has awarded HMSHost a 10-year contract to open numerous dining venues — with a focus on local culinary landmarks — in Concourse B and the Main Terminal as part of PBI’s expansion and modernization project
BETHESDA, Maryland (Jan. 7, 2026) – Global restaurateur HMSHost, part of Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL) and a world leader in creating dining for travel venues, announced today that Palm Beach County has named the company its food & beverage concessionaire for Palm Beach International Airport’s (PBI) Concourse B, currently undergoing a significant expansion and modernization to improve the passenger experience. Under a new 10-year contract, HMSHost will bring diverse flavors and local tastes to PBI.
Beginning in Summer 2026, HMSHost will begin to unveil an exciting lineup of full-service, fast casual, and quick-serve concepts featuring gems of South Florida’s bold food scene.
“PBI has a traveler-centric vision to create an airport that makes passengers feel welcome and appreciated the moment they arrive, and HMSHost is proud to be a part of that journey. We’ve crafted our food & beverage offering to cater to the variety of tastes and dietary preferences of travelers passing through PBI, with a focus on the brands and experiences that make Palm Beach County and the surrounding region a sought-after destination year-round,” said Steve Johnson, President and CEO, North America, Avolta. “We have had a long, successful partnership with Palm Beach County and are very happy to have this opportunity to transform the travel experience at PBI.”
“We’re proud to introduce new concessions that highlight the flavors and spirit of Palm Beach County,” said Director of Airports Laura Beebe. “By featuring beloved local culinary landmarks and offering locally sourced and organic produce, we’re creating an experience that feels authentic to our community. These new options not only support local businesses, but also give our passengers healthier, fresher, and more meaningful choices while traveling through PBI.”
Among the concepts landing soon at Palm Beach International Airport are:
- Rocco’s Tacos and Tequila Bar – Brought to life by charismatic owner Rocco Mangel, Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar is the go-to destination for authentic Mexican dining in a vibrant atmosphere.
- Plum Market – Where the health-conscious meet the foodie with natural, organic, and locally sourced options. Plum Market is a premier airport destination offering chef-crafted meals prepared fresh daily, signature salads, artisanal sandwiches, and more, at the speed travelers need. Its curated marketplace is filled with elevated snack options, craft beverages, and convenient wellness essentials.
- Worth Avenue Marketplace – Inspired by Florida’s farmers markets, this food hall will be anchored by four restaurants that convey a sense of place and all that Palm Beach has to offer in the local culinary scene, including Cholo Soy Cocina, serving gourmet Latin-American street food, and Field of Greens, a local favorite offering healthy salads, sandwiches, smoothies, acai bowls, and cold-pressed juices. Worth Avenue Marketplace will also showcase handcrafted delicacies from local artisans.
- Tequesta Brewing Co. – Founded in Tequesta, Florida, in 2011, Tequesta Brewing Co. is South Florida’s first microbrewery and a destination for craft beer connoisseurs, offering only the highest quality of handcrafted beers in a wide variety of innovative styles and flavors, including its Der Chancellor classic German-style Kölsch ale — considered the OG of Palm Beach County craft beer.
- Starbucks – HMSHost will open a new Starbucks, offering travelers from around the world their favorite hot and iced beverages, breakfast and lunch options, bakery items, and snacks and sweets.
Digital engagement will be an essential part of these new dining venues, with in-store technology such as virtual waitlists, QR code order and pay, self-order kiosks, digital menu boards, and self-checkout, allowing for greater convenience and speed. Travelers will also be able to enjoy all the benefits of the Club Avolta loyalty program, gaining access to exclusive offers, rewards, and cross-promotions.
In 2024, PBI welcomed more than 8.5 million passengers and travelers voted PBI the 5th Best Airport in the U.S. in Condé Nast’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards. Travel + Leisure also named PBI the 3rd Best U.S. Airport in its 2024 World’s Best Awards and the airport was named 5th Best Medium-Size Airport in the 2025 J.D. Power North America Airport Satisfaction Study. HMSHost currently operates 12 dining venues at PBI, including Chili’s® Grill & Bar, Rooney’s Public House, Starbucks, and Blu2o, which was voted the No. 1 Best Airport Bar by travelers in USA TODAY’s 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
HMSHost will operate the new locations with three local partners: Montes & Pitkonen LLC (Jose Montes), Chandler Campbelle & Daschle (Darrell Searcy), and Pioneer Concessions, LLC (Kristina Korge).
